Giants @ Dodgers Analysis & Breakdown
Clayton Kershaw makes his long awaited season debut tonight.
It’s late July and the Dodgers are coming off a brutal loss to their division rival, the Giants. They lost 8-3 last night, after winning both Game 1 & 2 of this series.
Tonight marks the last game os this series at Dodger Stadium, but more importantly it marks the return of their Ace; Clayton Kershaw.
Kershaw’s been out all season due to off-season shoulder surgery and it looks like the rehab’s right on schedule. I doubt he goes even 5 full innings, but it’s a much needed morale boost after last night’s loss.
The Dodgers are now 5-1 since the All-Star break despite the poor play of Shohei Ohtani. He’s batting 0.217 with just 1 home run in six games.
Three of these games have come against the Giants, he’s gone 2/12 in these 3 with just 1 walk.
If the Dodgers want to get back in the win column tonight, they’ll need Ohtani to turn it around.

Fredward Freeman is one of the most consistent batters in the MLB and no that’s not his real name, it’s Frederick Charles Freeman.
He enters this game after going just 1/9 in his L3 games, all games against the Giants. If you watched last night’s game you know he really shouldn’t have had a hit at all. Miscommunication between the outfield resulted in a dropped ball and a Freddie double.
