Dodgers vs. Rockies: Baseball betting can be brutal, and last night was a perfect reminder. The Dodgers once again came up short, failing to clear their first five team total. That makes two games in this four game series where the bats did not deliver early. Still, this is not a spot where I am backing off. Last night was rough, as the Dodgers once again failed to score over 3.5 runs in the first five innings. I have said all week that we will be all over this prop, and I am not stopping. Today we are going right back with the same play at the same price, over 3.5 runs at $1.20.

We will ride with the Dodgers to bounce back after an abysmal effort in last night’s 8-3 loss. The Rockies will be pushing for the series win, as they remain one of the most exciting clubs since the All-Star break.

Dodgers vs. Dollander

On the mound for the Pebbles is Chase Dollander, who owns the second worst rating on Batters-Box. His marks in matchup wOBA, ISO, hard contact, and strikeout percentage are poor, while he has allowed nearly 40% hard contact this season.

Home has not been kind to him, as has been the case for much of this Rockies rotation. In his last five home starts, Dollander carries a 9.61 ERA with a 5.10 xFIP. Opposing hitters in that stretch own a .330 xBA, .490 xSLG, and .379 xwOBA.

Left-handed bats have been his glaring weakness. At Coors, lefties are hitting .333 with a .581 SLG and .422 wOBA. That plays right into the Dodgers’ strength, with Freddie Freeman and Shohei Ohtani being their two elite-rated lefties. No Ohtani today, but this lineup is still loaded.

Dollander is giving up 5.7 hits and 4.6 runs per home start, along with one home run, 2.2 walks, and a .325 opponent batting average. His home splits are as mouthwatering as they come.

After last night’s flat performance, the Dodgers are in prime position to bounce back against a rotation that is surrendering nearly five runs in the first five innings at home. Even without the best bat in baseball, this offense remains one of the most dangerous in the league. A favorable matchup and proven lineup depth set the stage for a strong response. Momentum has swung against them briefly, but this is the type of spot where elite teams show why they are different.
