Following a monumental NLCS Game 5 win on Saturday, the Philadelphia Phillies are a win away from a second straight National League pennant. This evening, the Phillies will look to close out the Arizona Diamondbacks in Game 6 at home (5:07 pm ET, TBS).
After the Diamondbacks won back-to-back games to knot the series at two games apiece, the stakes were high for Saturday’s game. And the Phillies rose to the occasion all around in a 6-1 win, as they homered three more times, got a gem from Zack Wheeler, and even showed some savviness on the basepaths.
Now, the Phillies are back at Citizens Bank Park, where they have won 11 straight games over NL opposition over the last two postseasons and are 28-11 all time in postseason games.
Can the Diamondbacks force a winner-take-all Game 7, which we will see tonight in the ALCS? Or will the Phils continue their home dominance to book another World Series trip?
