Diamondbacks vs Angels in LA
These two teams have not met since 2021, where the Angels swept the Diamondbacks in Arizona. Los Angeles has now won the last four meetings between these two baseball clubs.
The D-Backs are on top of their tough division, and are 24-14 on the road as well. They dropped their last two games at home against the Rays, but were able to beat them once. Arizona will look to get back on track tonight.
The Angels are just six games out of first place in the AL West, and are 22-18 at home this year. They are also on a two game skid at the moment, but they have the best athlete on the planet, Shohei Ohtani.
He’s been putting up unprecedented numbers on both sides of the plate, and at this point, it is flat out ridiculous what he is doing.
We’re witnessing history before our very eyes.
Will Ohtani’s heroics come out tonight? Or will the Diamondbacks score a much needed win in Los Angeles?

Diamondbacks vs Angels Prediction & Best Bets
With these two teams in this situation, I don’t have much of a lean on the side. Either team could pull this one off, especially with both teams on a multi-game skid.
I am not familiar enough with these pitchers to have much of an opinion on the total either. It’s hard to ignore the fact that both these teams are Top 10 in the league in Runs, Hits, Batting Average and Slugging Percentage.
Sounds like it could be a recipe for some offense, so I found some player props to fit my thinking.
Player Props
Shohei Ohtani over 1.5 Bases (+125)
This one is self explanatory. The dude is unreal.
Ohtani has a hit in 7 straight games, and he has 14 hits in that stretch. He’s also had a home run in 3 of his last 4 games, including a two homerun outing just 3 games ago.
His bases is absolutely an autobet for me right now. Ohtani clears 1.5 bases in 57% of games this year, and 73% in his last 30. He’s had 4+ bases in 5 straight games, and 6 of his last 7.
Simply put, how can you not?
Bonus Bet: Ohtani Homerun (+350)
Christian Walker over 1.5 Bases (+130)
Another instance of riding a guy who’s been on fire.
Walker is on a 13 game hit streak, and has gone over 1.5 bases in 5 straight as well. He rips righties, batting .262 against them, and has good history against Griffin Canning.
In three at bats, Walker hits .667 with two singles and an RBI. Very small sample size, but an interesting nugget nonetheless.
I like Walker to continue his hot streak tonight, and after finding +130 I jumped all over it. It’s not his time to cool off quite yet.
