Two NL Central Rivals go head to head for the first time this season, kicking off a three game weekend series. The Chicago Cubs are in Wisconsin taking on the Milwaukee Brewers tonight. The Cubs sit in first place of the division, leading the Cincinnati Reds by two games. But the Brewers aren’t too far behind, sitting at 16-16 and just three games behind the first place Cubs. Can they take down the top dog today at home?
Chicago just finished up a three game series out in Pittsburgh where they took two of three from the Pirates. The bats were on fire as they scored 20 total runs in just three matchups. They’ll hope those bats can stay alive today as they start the final series of this road trip. As for the Brewers, they are finally back at home today.
They just got done with a 12 day, 10 game road trip and are happy to have slept in their own beds. So happy in fact, that they forgot to play the final game against the White Sox before heading home, losing 8-0 yesterday in Chicago. Can they take down the other team from the Windy City today in Game 1 of this series?

While I do lean with the visitors and the over, I have booked a two leg hit parlay instead, focusing on two hitters to simply do their job as professional baseball players. It’s plus money, what could go wrong?
Chicago Cubs vs Milwaukee Brewers Best Bets

Kyle Tucker leads the Cubs in home runs, batting average and RBIs this season
Cubs vs Brewers Prediction: Cubs Win, Over 8.5
Best Bets: Kyle Tucker/Michael Busch Hit Parlay (-105) BetOnline
A little hit parlay for some Friday Night Fun! Both of these lefties excel against RHP, and tonight, I see Priester getting rocked. He’s a three trick pony, throwing his sinker, slider, and cutter nearly 90% of the time, making it easier on hitters. As far as those three pitches go, two of them are below league average in value so far this season.
Now, Priester pitched well in his only home start, but he’s been getting rocked otherwise. He’s coming off allowing five runs on eight hits in St. Louis, walking three batters as well for a 2.20 WHIP in that outing. I trust these two hitters to simply get on base against him tonight.
Kyle Tucker hits .278 this season, but that number jumps up to .292 on the road and .294 against righties. He homered last night, but has just two hits in his past five games. The man’s in a bit of a slump, but this should be the perfect matchup to bust out of it. As for Michael Busch, we have very similar thinking. He’s coming off a two hit outing last night, but prior to that has just four in his last seven games. Although he’s batting .282 this season, Busch hits .289 against RHP and .305 on the road this year.
The splits for both of these guys are there, let’s just hope they get the job done tonight. I think the tide is turning, and both of these hitters are ready to contribute to the Cubs’ offense once again.
