Welcome into the week. Let us start this Monday off by backing a bat that has started to heat up as the weather does. Mr. Met himself, Juan Soto, is slashing .350/.500/.800 with a 1.258 OPS over the last seven days.
He ranks as the ninth-highest rated hitter today on Batters-Box and carries strong supporting trends. In 56 elite-rated home games, he records a hit 73% of the time, goes over this HRR prop 64% of the time, and scores a run 58% of the time. Soto gets walked more than anyone in baseball, so the hits, runs, and RBI prop at -115 provides great value and insurance if he gets on base without swinging. While the total bases prop is juicy at +145—and yes, I sprinkled on it—the HRR is the better play, as he has gone over it in eight of his last 10 elite ratings.
Today, Soto faces Braves rookie Spencer Schwellenbach, who has struggled away from home. In six road starts, he owns a 4.19 ERA and allows nearly one home run per outing. Left-handed hitters are batting .236 against him with a .486 slugging percentage and .318 wOBA in those road appearances. Schwellenbach has a solid arsenal, but Soto matches up well with every pitch in his mix.
With the way Soto is seeing the ball and everything lining up, this is a great spot to back the biggest bag in the game.
