2025 World Series Line Movement
I am not shocked by the Rangers odds falling. They have started the season the complete opposite of what I imagined when I last wrote about the World Series odds. They are awful.
Their bats have been atrocious, currently sitting 27th in runs per game as of May 23. On the other hand, their rotation has been the saving grace, which is the one area I thought would struggle. They are third in ERA this season, but fourth worst in scoring. I had them projected to score around six runs a game.
Now, are the Mariners worth dabbling on now? You kind of missed out on a great number back in March, but they have been pretty solid out of the gate. They are currently 2.5 games up on the Astros in the West. Do they have what it takes to go the distance in October? I do not think so, but I have already been wrong about this team once, as I am holding an under 85.5 wins ticket for Seattle. They just do not do it for me.
2025 World Series Leans
Typically, I do not enjoy laying the chalk with futures. I like long shots. That is why I lean with the Detroit Tigers at 11 to 1. Their offense has been fantastic to start the season, sitting in the top 10 in runs per game. Their starting rotation is also top 10 in ERA. Tarik Skubal is still playing phenomenal baseball. They are one of the most exciting teams to watch in baseball right now.
Everyone above them in the odds has a flaw. So do the Tigers, but I believe this is a solid price to pay early in the season. I am not rushing out to place this bet, but I will keep an eye on it. If they hit a bad stretch for a couple of weeks, I may look to buy low. They will be a threat in the postseason.
