Team Canada is two games into the Olympics and they’ve yet take a loss. This team’s coming off a Bronze Medal at the 2023 FIBA World Cup and they’ve picked up right where they left off.
Shai and RJ are leading this team and have hopes for a podium, anything less would be a huge disappointment. RJ’s seen a majority of the usage for this Canada, having taken 27 shots over two games and getting to the line for 12 free throws.
He’s shooting above 60% from the field and he’s currently 100% from the free throw line. This might be the best basketball RJ’s ever played and today he gets one of the best matchups of the tournament.
Through two games, Spain’s given up 169 points to Greece and Australia, two of the less scoring offenses in this tournament. They allowed Australia to shoot 51% from the field and 50% from deep. Today should be no different.

Santi Aldama has the green light. After 27 in the opener of the Olympics, he followed that up with 19 points and 3/8 from 3 against Greece. The Spaniards were able to secure a win against Giannis and the Greek team, and could make the knockout stage with a win today.
He got to the line 10 times in their first game but against Greece he saw just 4 free throws. He’s taken 8 3P attempts in back to back games and today with so much on the line, I’m expecting more of the same.
Canada has done a fantastic job against perimeter players so far in the tournament but have yet to play against a true three point sniper. Today with Aldama on the court, that changes.
Look for Spain to continue with the same gameplan and let Aldama fire at will.

He burned us in his last game, but we’re going right back. This is a huge game in terms of seeding and in terms sending a message to the other teams in the tournament. France and Germany both remain near the top in international competition, Germany coming off a World Cup win in 2023.
Both teams are 2-0 so far through Group Play and both teams have handled their opponents without any real issues. This should be a closely contested game with high levels of scoring from both sides and with that being the case, I love Denis in this spot.
Schöder finished with just 1 assists in the 1st half of their last game, but finished the game with 6 assists. The ball wasn’t falling for the Germans early but in a huge matchup, I love them to come out firing.
Schröder finished with 12 assists in their Olympic opener in just 28 minutes, and today against France he’ll need to be locked in.
