A massive lightweight Main Event awaits MMA fans across the globe Saturday. Arman Tsarukyan will welcome Dan Hooker back to the octagon after a long hiatus.
A long hiatus is a theme in this fight, as Tsarukyan himself has not been in the Octagon since April of 2024. The long absence is partially due to pulling out of a lightweight title fight on fight week against Islam Makhchev in January of this year.
Tsarukyen was forced to pull out of the title fight just 2 days before the event due to a back injury suffered in training. The missed opportunity could prove costly to his future title aspirations.
Dan Hooker will be making his return to the octagon after almost a year off at no fault of his own. The violent striker broke his hand in preparation for a bout with Justin Gaethje in March of this year.
The match up will be a stark contrast in styles. Tsarukyen will be looking to get the wrestling going early while Hooker typically wants to cause a brawl and slug it out.

Ian Machado Garry will welcome Belal Muhammed back to action in his first bout since losing the title. After a devastating loss to Jack Della Maddalena in May, the former champ may be a tad disgruntled for not receiving an immediate rematch.
The welterweight division moves faster then father time, and Muhammed is forced to take on rising contender Ian Machado Garry. MMA fans have seen how former champions fare in their first match up after the title, and it is not a pretty picture.
Ian Machado Garry is carrying all the momentum into this fight. The prospect is coming off a huge win over top prospect Carlos Prates and has asserted himself in prime position for a title shot.
With a solid win on Saturday, either fighter could throw their hat to the front of the line for a Welterweight title shot.

Myktybek Orolbai will be the one to welcome him to the Welterweight division on home turf. A tough first match up for Hermansson as this will certainly be a grapple heavy affair.
Hermansson is a UFC veteran at this point with over 18 fights in the promotion. The weight class change at this point in his career is confusing for many, but he may just revive his career.
