Ronnie Jones Joins PENN Entertainment Compliance Team

PENN Entertainment has appointed Ronnie Jones to its Compliance Committee. The board approved his appointment on August 4, 2025. Jones joins as an independent, non-director member. 

Previously, he chaired the Louisiana Gaming Control Board from 2013 to 2020. He brings over 45 years of public service experience, including more than 30 years in the Louisiana State Police.

Ronnie Jones’ Role as Part of the Compliance Committee

Jones will serve alongside Thomas N. Auriemma, who chairs the Committee as an independent non-director. In addition, board members Johnny Hartnett and Carlos Ruisanchez also serve. 

PENN’s CEO and president, Jay Snowden, praised Jones as a respected leader in regulated gaming. He emphasized Jones’ deep industry experience will strengthen compliance, integrity, and governance.

Moreover, Jones oversaw regulatory operations over 15 riverboat casinos, land-based casinos, racetrack slot venues, and over 2,000 licensed video poker establishments in Louisiana. 

He also helped lay the groundwork for Louisiana’s sports betting legalization in 2022. He earned the 2017 North American Regulator of the Year award from the International Masters of Gaming Law.

In addition, PENN owns major properties and digital brands including Hollywood Casino, L’Auberge, ESPN BET, theScore BET, and proprietary iCasino operations. The company continues growth in the online casino space and across real money online casinos offerings in multiple states.
