Evoplay, a well-known European online casino games developer, has recently secured their iGaming license in Ontario. The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has authorized the award-winning iGaming studio to operate within the province.

Their license to supply their iGaming portfolio to real money online casino Canada operators runs until March 2027. Canadian players can now experience Evoplay’s extensive gaming library that includes Penalty Shoot-out: Street, Hot Volcano, and Fruit Super Nova.

Evoplay Enters North American Market

With their Ontario license acquired, Evoplay enters the lucrative North American iGaming market for the first time. Establishing their presence in such a market gives them the opportunity to expand their international reach and fanbase.

Evoplay Chief Commercial Officer Ihor Zarechnyi expressed the company’s excitement of gaining their license to operate in Ontario. He noted that securing their Ontario license is a major landmark for the company,

“With a strong commitment to compliance, innovation, and delivering immersive gaming experiences, we look forward to partnering with local operators and contributing to the market’s continued success,” Zarechnyi added.

According to their 2024 year-end results report, they have launched 32 new titles. This includes online slots, instant play, crash games and new tap and skill-based genres. They’ve also reported a 42% increase in the number of users across its content portfolio.

More iGaming Suppliers Enter Ontario

Evoplay is the latest online casino games supplier to get the nod to operate in Ontario. Recently, other European suppliers have gained access to the North American iGaming market. Fennica Gaming last week acquired their AGCO license, while Malta-based RubyPlay secured theirs last February.

Suppliers that manage to get the green light to operate in Ontario will have access to a lucrative market. Currently, the Ontario iGaming market has more than 1.1 million active player accounts across all commercial regulated online casinos.

Moreover, following the market’s opening back in April 2022, the online casino vertical has produced more than $4.5 billion in GGR for operators. iGaming Ontario (iGO) is in-charge of managing and monitoring the province’s iGaming market.
