Open Championship Final Round Predictions and Picks

It is hard to see anyone being able to catch or overtake Scheffler, who should win by four or more strokes for the fourth time this year. But there are three golfers who are in line to have a successful Sunday, including one who came through in Saturday’s Open Championship best bets.
Nicolai Hojgaard under 70.5 (-130 at Bovada)
Hojgaard carded his third consecutive 69 yesterday (which cashed the under 70.5 play that was in yesterday’s picks) and is on the verge of his first top-10 finish in a major.
Can he close out a great week with another solid score? For the season, he is sixth on the PGA Tour in final round scoring average (68.57), and most recently, he shot a 6-under 64 this past Sunday to secure a tie for fourth at the Scottish Open.
Xander Schauffele under 69.5 (-145 at Bovada)
Schauffele was 1-over through his first 28 holes of the Open Championship following a double bogey on the 10th hole on Friday. Since that hole, he is 8-under with two eagles, six birdies, and two bogeys in 26 holes, and his 5-under 66 yesterday moved him into the top 10.
With no real pressure to contend with, Schauffele should shine again today to lock up a second straight top-10 finish after tying for eighth last weekend.
Justin Thomas under 69.5 (-110 at Bovada)
After starting the Open Championship with a 1-over 72, Thomas has carded consecutive 69s to move to -3 for the tournament.
He is tied for 29th entering the final round, but the odds are good that he will land in a better spot on the final leaderboard. He is fifth on the PGA Tour in final round scoring average this season (68.50), and in the 14 tournaments in which he has reached the weekend, he has recorded a score of 2-under or better in the final round 10 times.
