CFL Week 11 Preview, Schedule & Odds: Ti-Cats vs. Riders Gets Top Billing

Hamilton Tiger-Cats quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell

Last week was the most exciting week of the 2025 Canadian Football League season to date, by a long distance. The four games in Week 10 were decided by a combined nine points, and all were decided by a late score. Can Week 11 in the CFL come close to matching that level of heart-stopping thrills, twists, and turns? It likely won’t, but another eventful week should be ahead.

One matchup stands out above the rest on this week’s schedule, as Bo Levi Mitchell and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats visit Trevor Harris and the Saskatchewan Roughriders in a collision of Grey Cup contenders on Saturday afternoon. But the other three games all carry some level of intrigue and interest. Let’s dive into the week ahead, complete with odds from BetOnline, one of the top U.S. sportsbooks.

CFL Week 11 Schedule and Odds

Thursday, August 14

Ottawa Redblacks (3-6, 2-3 away) vs. Winnipeg Blue Bombers (4-4, 3-1 home), 8:30 p.m. ET, CBS Sports Network

Ottawa Redblacks quarterback Dru Brown

Team Spread Moneyline Over/Under
Ottawa Redblacks +5 (-108) +200 Over 52.5 (-115)
Winnipeg Blue Bombers -5 (-112) -240 Under 52.5 (-105)

Last Saturday, the Redblacks picked a fine, fine time to stage a comeback for the ages to pick up a rare win against the rival Toronto Argonauts. Down 22-1 after a quarter in Toronto, the Redblacks rallied for an incredible 46-42 win behind a heroic performance by Dru Brown (26 for 31, 373 yards, 5 TD).

With back-to-back wins, things are trending up for the Redblacks entering Week 11. The same can’t be said for the Blue Bombers, who have lost four of their last five games and were beaten at the horn at Calgary last Saturday night. In that stretch, Winnipeg has allowed an average of 33.6 points per game. Improvement is sorely needed with two games against the Saskatchewan Roughriders and trips to Hamilton and Montreal ahead.

Friday, August 15

Toronto Argonauts (2-7, 1-3 away) vs. Edmonton Elks (2-6, 1-3 home), 9:00 p.m. ET, CFL+

Edmonton Elks quarterback Cody Fajardo leads the CFL in completion percentage entering Week 11

Team Spread Moneyline Over/Under
Toronto Argonauts +3 (-112) +138 Over 54 (-110)
Edmonton Elks -3 (-108) -158 Under 54 (-110)

Elks quarterback Cody Fajardo got some sweet, sweet revenge in his return to Montreal last Friday, connecting with fellow former Alouette Kaion Julien-Grant for a game-winning score with 15 seconds left in a 23-22 win.

Fajardo’s elevation to starting duties has brought about an improvement on offense for Edmonton, and last week’s win was a just reward for those efforts.

Things also appeared to be on the up and up for the Argonauts a couple of weeks ago when they nearly won at Montreal and upset the Blue Bombers at home. It’s instead been one step forward and two steps back. After giving up 31 points in the first half of their Week 10 loss at Winnipeg, they squandered a dream start against Ottawa last week.

On a positive note, Nick Arbuckle has thrown for 300 yards and multiple touchdowns four times in the last five games, so he appears to be settled in, even though his late interception ended the Argos’ hopes against the Redblacks.

However, wins are needed if Toronto is to remain in the CFL playoff hunt into the late stages of the regular season, and that means making the most of winnable games such as this Week 11 matchup.

Saturday, August 16

Hamilton Tiger-Cats (6-3, 4-1 away) vs. Saskatchewan Roughriders (7-1, 3-1 home), 3:00 p.m. ET, CBS Sports Network

Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Trevor Harris leads the CFL in QB rating entering Week 11

Team Spread Moneyline Over/Under
Hamilton Tiger-Cats +3.5 (-110) +161 Over 54 (-115)
Saskatchewan Roughriders -3.5 (-110) -185 Under 54 (-105)

Despite a heartbreaking home loss to the BC Lions last Thursday, the Tiger-Cats have ascended to favorite status in the East Division ahead of the Alouettes.

Giving up 527 yards and 41 points to the Lions highlighted Hamilton’s biggest weakness and what potentially stands between them and a Grey Cup berth this season. But as long as their offense is producing at a high level, the Ti-Cats are going to have a chance anytime they take the field.

Saturday’s visit to Regina represents an opportunity to show that they are indeed a contender and to put last week’s defensive shocker behind them. It’s also a chance to make up for a missed opportunity in Week 2, when they couldn’t quite make the plays they needed to on both sides of the ball in crunch time in a 28-23 loss to the Roughriders.

The Riders, meanwhile, have a chance to put even more distance between themselves and the rest of the league. They enter Week 11 of the CFL season ahead of the Stampeders, Ti-Cats, and Alouettes atop Grey Cup odds, and while all three of those teams have at least one glaring weakness at the moment, the Roughriders appear to be the league’s most complete team at present, ranking second in both scoring offense (29.1 PPG) and scoring defense (21.8 PPG).

Montreal Alouettes (5-4, 3-1 away) vs. BC Lions (4-5, 1-3 home), 7:00 p.m. ET, CBS Sports Network

Caleb Evans takes over as the Montreal Alouettes' starting quarterback in Week 11

Team Spread Moneyline Over/Under
Montreal Alouettes +6.5 (-105) +252 Over 51.5 (-110)
BC Lions -6.5 (-115) -310 Under 51.5 (-110)

The end came for McLeod Bethel-Thompson last week against the Elks, as he was replaced by Caleb Evans after throwing a pick-six late in the first half. That proved to be a pivotal moment in the game, as the Alouettes were up 13-4 and heading for another score.

Evans performed well enough to make it a certainty that he would start this week in Vancouver, and it was nearly good enough to give Montreal a win until Fajardo’s late heroics for the Elks.

Can he translate it into helping the Alouettes keep pace in the East Division until Davis Alexander returns? If he can, Alexander won’t have to be rushed back to save the season and can be fresh for the home stretch and postseason, which would be the ideal outcome.

A win this week would be a big shot in the arm for the Alouettes, who have been one team with Alexander and one team without him. Who they are with Alexander is why they remain one of the favorites to win the Grey Cup, but they need to start stacking some wins with Evans to stay there.

It all starts in Week 11 at BC, who pulled out a thrilling win at Hamilton to kick off CFL Chaos Week with huge games from Nathan Rourke (24 for 40, 408 yards, 2 TD, INT) and James Butler (85 rushing yards, 55 receiving yards, 2 TD) but has given up a lot of points and yards in recent weeks.
